Cheap wood flooring?
I know the hardwood businesses in WV have taken big hits lately with furniture companies outsourcing from China. In fact logs are being exported to China. Do a search for flooring manufacturers in WV especially in Randolph County. A local parents organization that worked on getting a new school has 2000 sq ft of oak flooring stored in a barn. They were talking about selling it for $1 a sq ft. There's still a chance it may be used in the new school just not as flooring. I've seen it. It's 3/4" thick tongue and grooved oak that comes in at least three shades naturally. It's beautiful wood. If I was doing a floor, that's the stuff I'd buy.
The folks that owned this place before us, put down fake laminate. It's crap and hasn't lasted.
